Delay on Day Four?

So, we have already experienced day 4, 5, and 6. I think today is day 7? LOL

You see, once we got to Pawhuska, all bests were off! The whole way there was go, go, go! Then, we could relax and enjoy! Which is exactly what we did, so I can no longer do a day by day, but rather a post per experience instead. But for this one, let’s focus on day four.

This pretty much sums up the last three days outside of sites we did get to see. No, thankfully we were not rained on the entire time and yes, we were grateful for our umbrellas! We only used them a few times, but the rain in the mid west is far more serious than the rain we experience in sunny SoCal!

Upon leaving our very nice accommodations in Amarillo, TX. we were on our way to our final destination, Pawhuska, OK. For the record, Embassy Suites in Amarillo are top of the line and it is highly recommended! I think the last post was all about their delightful margaritas. 🤗

The drive from Amarillo to Pawhuska was not so bad at all. We were able to make it in good time with the only hiccups in traffic being Oklahoma City, and even that was not so bad. We rolled into Pawhuska around 3pm, just in time to check into the Frontier Hotel! There WILL be an entire post dedicated to the Frontier. Everything and everyone in Pawhuska was simply delightful! More on that later!

For now, I am just going to enjoy our drive through New Mexico. Our task for the day is to look for chili peppers to take home with us from this trip! 🌶🌶🌶
